What is Entrepreneurship and Business Development Activities (EBDA)?
SPARK is responding to the needs of refugees and local students and young business owners to realise the projects they are dreaming about and developing or expanding their existing businesses.
The EBDA is funded by Nationale Postcode Loterij (PCL) and is aimed at creating a conducive environment for young entrepreneurs to access relevant entrepreneurship skills, knowledge, values and attitudes for their businesses. The programme aims to unlock a new generation of youth that are educated, professionally skilled and inspirational leaders of the future. By building a cadre of trained, civic-minded, intellectual young people, they can guide their families and communities towards cohesion and prosperity.
The programme, which targets refugees and vulnerable youth from hosting countries in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon, offers solutions to generate new businesses and develop/expand existing businesses. It also promises to bring together refugees and members of host communities by providing opportunities to exchange business ideas and realise them together. The programme offers a package of entrepreneurship trainings that respond appropriately and adequately to the labour markets and business needs of young people.
What services does the EBDA offer?
- Basic entrepreneurship skills training
